Project Brief
Conceptualise, storyboard, design and animate a 30-180 second mini title sequence adapted from a provided blurb of selected books that have yet to be made into features. Conceptualise the narrative and visual treatment based on the blurb alone. Additionally, you are required to include appropriately integrated hypothetical titles (cast, crew, directors, producers etc.).

Design Strategy
Initially inspired by the art of shadow puppets used for storytelling in China. The title sequence combines rotoscoped silhouettes and paper-like scenes in z-space to tell the story of the "Daughter of the Moon Goddess" Xingyin. Celestial Kingdom is brought about by weaving the magic of Chinese mythology with themes of coming of age, adventure and romance. The music chosen highlights the guzheng starting calmly as it progresses the music crescendos at the climax and calms down again at the end.
